^ TOP Breastfeeding Support
Research shows that being breastfed in the early months after birth has a huge positive impact on your baby's health for the rest of their life and just one day of breastfeeding makes a difference - by stabilising blood sugars, protecting the gut and providing natural antibodies against disease. But breastfeeding is a skill that each mum and baby need to learn together. Sadly it doesn't always come easy at the beginning, especially when you are tired or stressed with a new baby.
Our experience tells us that that many women who stop breastfeeding in the first six weeks are stopping before they want to, but are confused, worried about their baby gaining weight and are in pain each time they try and feed.
Our pre-birth breastfeeding workshop is aimed at building your confidence and understanding about feeding a new baby with plenty of practical tips and techniques and answers many of the confusing questions including should you feed from one breast or two or how to boost your milk supply and feed without pain and discomfort.
We then provide further support after your baby is born offering one-one home and telephone consultations. (Please note : if you have not attended our workshop you can still use this service).
