Pregnancy Yoga Classes
Our yoga classes are split in to Level 1, 2 & 3 classes. We would encourage you to start our pregnancy yoga from your second trimester. We recommend our Level 1 classes from week 34 until your due date.

During July and August we have reduced our standard 5 session commitment to allow you to buy just 3 pregnancy yoga sessions; 3 postnatal yoga sessions or 3 baby massage sessions to take within a fixed five week course. Subject to class schedule and availability.
Level 1
Ideal if you have not done yoga before or are later in your pregnancy.The classes include information regarding pregnancy and labour as well as post natal care for you and your baby. A focus is given to birth positions, breathing and relaxation techniques. Our therapists may also give short talks within some of these classes.
Level 2
Ideal if you have done yoga before, exercise more regularly or are in the mid stage of your pregnancy.The classes are dynamic and fun. Keeping you fit and active during your pregnancy and helping to develop strength and body awareness they are specifically designed to enhance your wellbeing and relieve common pregnancy discomforts such as back and pelvic pain, heartburn and exhaustion.
Level 3
Designed for you post birth after your body has recovered.The classes can help you to re-energise and regain your tone and strength. Focus is given to positions which will help you in your new role as a mum. Our therapists may also give short talks within some of these classes. * We are introducing a new Level 3 class Summer/Autumn 2008. Please contact us for details.
Do I need to bring my own yoga mat and what do I wear?
Yoga mats, blankets and cushions are provided but please feel free to bring an extra towel or blanket if you wish. We suggest wearing loose, comfortable clothing.Lucy Baldwin
Lucy originally trained as a Sivananda Yoga Teacher in 2002 and is now a qualified perinatal yoga teacher. Registered with Birthlight, Lucy is also a registered doula having completed further training with leading obstetrician Michel Odent who pioneered the development of home births. She has two young children.
Miranda Gates-Fleming
Miranda trained with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli of Sitaram Yoga and is also Yoga Alliance 500 Certified. She has been teaching in London for the last 3 years and is also qualified in Thai Yoga Massage. Having completed a Degree in Theology, and a Postgraduate course in Psychology, Miranda is currently undertaking training to become a Nutritional adviser. Miranda's classes are both restorative and energising. They aim to allow you to manage the changes occurring in your body and give you time to bond with your growing baby, as well as keeping your body fit and prepared for birth.
Lesley-Anne Kerr
Lesley-Anne trained as an Active Birth Teacher following the birth of her own two children, leaving behind a career of many years as a Molecular Immunologist at Guy's Hospital and the Imperial Cancer Research Fund. She is a registered Yoga Birth Teacher and has been working with women throughout their pregnancies and births since 1997. Lesley-Anne also focuses on teaching women to breastfeed successfully./p>
Julie Krausz
Julie has been teaching yoga for 17 years. She is a qualified Yoga and Active Birth teacher and is registered with YogaBirth, the Active Birth Centre and Birthlight. She has completed the Unicef Breastfeeding Management training and holds a Diploma in Remedial Massage. She has two boys, both born at home into water.
Natalie Preston
Natalie first discovered yoga whilst in India 11 years ago. Having explored various forms of the hatha yoga traditions her teaching is now inspired by the Iyengar Systems. She has been teaching in London for the last 8 years and to expectant mothers for 5.
Louise Ramsden
Louise trained with Francoise Freedman of Birthlight. She is also British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance 500 qualified. Louise has been teaching various body work for 16 years and Yoga for 8 years. Louise's antenatal yoga classes teach flowing movements with breathwork, combined with restorative postures to prepare the body for birth and to encourage awareness and acceptance throughout this time of change.
